I saw a documentary about these two brother artists last night and they really piqued my intrest. Gave me new ideas and gave me more courage to take other further. Instantly after the program ending, I leapt to my computer to start working on a new project I had came up with while watching the brothers and their art.

I hope that I will get where I want to get with this project, but currently I get some birth pains with it. And it’s not going to be easy, but on the other hand. I don’t really want it to be. If I hit right at the first stroke, then I don’t get to do any experimenting and I miss out on a lot of fun and experience.

I don’t really want to go into detail what the project is about, but it’s going to be a photography series that I will retouch with Photoshop or possibly with oil paints.

Now to something aching to the Chapman brothers art, not in terms of quality however.

Heil honey, I’m HOME!

I spent the week in Stockholm with my younger sister and we were getting our worksamples for Konstfack sent in and had a generally enjoyable week. I had just planned to stay a day or two, but ended up staying for the better part of the week and to be honest I just didn’t want to go back to my little hometown of Skara.

I can say that much that Skara like most small hometowns these days represent a prison more than a home and the whole experience of living here is generally a complete downer and you just wish yourself away on a daily basis. This had all been ok, had it not been that all this wishing, had resulting in a serious lack of me actually doing anything in the meantime. Which just adds to the whole travesty of living here.

All my family and people around, seem very positive to me looking to find higher education in the field of art however. Which is quite surpricing I must say, because I have always expected quite the opposite reaction from me looking towards spending money and life on something so non solid for a future. But I’m not complaining. Makes the whole ordeal so much easier. :)

Some people wanted me to post the worksamples I had sent in so they could see what I had done, and I promised that I would do that. So I guess you can expect that to come up sometime the next week, along with some more sections on this site. Last I put up were the “Phobia” section in the Projects list. But I will expand it when time and energy permits.
