Well, that was that. After a lot of hard work, the vernissage came and went. It was really quite a success I must say. Of course it was mostly family and friends of the the students that came to see it. But that’s usually how these things go.

I assume people read, “Student exhibition” and expect it to be of low(er) quality. But if that’s the case, then it’s a misconception on their part. A lot of great peices were put out by my fellow students. And I suppose by me aswell. ;) Atleast that’s what they told me. :)

I felt a bit nostalgic afterwards and went out to a place where I spent a lot of my time growing up and walked around there for an hour or something. Then i went home took a shower and sat down to write this.

Eventhough it’s a wonderful summer evening outside, I can’t help the urge to post this half hour movie that a dear friend of mine reminded me of the other day. It’s an animated “silent” movie called “the Snowman”. The art, music and story of this flick is just wonderful and I hope you take the time to view it all (atleast if you haven’t already seen it)

Anyway, back to the recent event.

I took a lot of photos today and made a gallery of some of them. And after struggling with wordpress for a good hour or two, I’ve got them presentable for you. I hope you enjoy them.

This Saturday our school will have our annual student exhibition, where we’ll be showing off the work we’ve done during the year that has come to pass. There’ll be a wide assortment of artistic expressions aswell as a demonstration of what the school is all about aswell as what exactly goes on behind the doors of the school.

Vernissage card.

Here’s a picture of the lovely vernissage card we had made. Aino Ahlstrom made the great self portrait we chose to use and me and another student colaborated in making the posters and cards. Which we’ve subsequently sent out to various family members and artists and other schools etc. There’s still a lot of work to be done before Saturday. But anyone who would be able and intrested to show up are of course very welcome. :)

The exhibition is held at Rosa huset, Langgatan 6 in Skovde. At Saturday the 26th from 13:00 to 17:00. And after that it’severy day between 12:00 to 18:00, from the 27th to the 29th (Sunday to Tuesday).
