I wanted to make people aware of this movie festival. Straight 8. It’s held at Cannes every year and over at youtube they’ve set up an account demonstrating some of them.

The rules are, make a movie using one cartridge of Super 8 film and no editing. You’d be surpriced at what people managed to produce. Some truly clever and inspiring pieces of short film. I’ve only watched a few so far myself but I want to show you to these two. They’re in a similar tone and with a similar message and really spoke to me.

I hope you like them as much as I did. :)

Apparently there’s quite a few done every year though 2008 being the biggest with 175 submissions.

 EDIT Holy shit (no pun intended) While I’m taking this story with a grain of salt, I can’t help moving my rectum slightly away from the center of my office chair.

For the first time, I’ve uploaded a vid to Youtube. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for quite a while now. For whatever reason. I suppose I’m just a sucker for trends. :p

Check it out. It’s a demo of the first map from a map pack I am making for the game Heretic. Basically continuing where Heretic left off. ut the story isn’t what  is really important here. It’s the violence of course.
